Jeremy, Colden (4 1/2), Blakely (3) and I are about to make a big move across the ocean to live in Luxembourg.
Most everyone thinks Luxembourg is in Germany... check a map and you will see a very small country (with one of the few remaining Monarch's) between France, Germany and south of Belgium. One of the most exciting things about our new home is how close we are to so many countries for day and weekend adventures.
The predominant language is French. Luxembourgish is a mix of French and German (completely foreign to my ears) but only spoken among locals and with nearly half the population being ex-pats, German and English are spoken as well. Fortunately, I speak some French. So far that has proven quite helpful in everyday life, not to mention choosing a school for the boys, completing government forms, etc. Business is in English, so Jeremy is getting along fine as well.
Our "household goods" are already well on their way to our new home and we are anxious to arrive and have our family back together. In the meantime, we are busy traveling in the US as it takes nearly 8 weeks for our SEA shipment to arrive.
We would love for you to follow us as we experience life in Luxembourg and throughout our Europe travels. And don't forget to keep in touch! We want to know what is going on with you too!
